COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR SUPPORT OF HUMANS WITH DAMAGED SIGHT

Abstract: A system for automatic reading of printed Macedonian Cyrillic text is presented. The system includes scanning of the printed text and optical character recognition. The scanned text can be printed on a Braille printer or synthesized by a speech synthesizer. Various approaches to the speech scheme are described concerning the price and quality.
